Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy Pasadena's tranquil 132-acre Arroyo Seco and 23 parks, totaling more than one thousand acres. There are several places around Pasadena that offer plenty of hiking opportunities such as the Millard Canyon Falls Trail, Henniger Falls Trail, Eaton Canyon Falls Trail, and the Sam Merrill Trail. For skiing, try the Mountain High Resort. Southern California's most popular winter resort has two resorts, 13 lifts, and night skiing seven days a week.
For racing of a different sort, Santa Anita Park can provide you with a thrill a minute. At Santa Anita, visitors can enjoy some of the best in Thoroughbred racing during the racing seasons from October to mid-November and from late December to April.
For sports enthusiasts, a quick drive into Los Angeles will get you great seats to a LA Dodgers, Clippers, Lakers, or Kings game. Let’s not forget about the UCLA Bruins or “The Granddaddy of All Bowl Games," the Rose Bowl. Get your tickets early!
